Here is the procedure if you use Netscape Communicator: Click: "Edit" Click: "Preferences" Click: "Mail & Newsgroups Click: "Formatting" Choose: "Use plain text editor to compose messages" Choose: "Ask me what to do if the message has HTML formatting - otherwise send plain text" Click: "OK" Also check the properties for each address in your address book. You can set the preference for text or HTML Some older browsers do not use HTML very efficiently, so on big lists, it's better to send plain text.
