    1. [ILMACOUP-L] Probate - a pretty good start

    3. Could use at least 6 more volunteers. Anyway, 6 pkgs still not addressed. So far, I want to thank these people for volunteering: Linda R. F. Arnold Loretta Beeuwsaert Patti Breaux Sue McMurry Ronnie Peralta Irvina Russell Joretta Weaver One thing determined - if you don't have programs, Excel, Works, DBase, Quattro, Mac .csv, or WordPerfect I can't convert so you need to follow the text typing instructions at the bottom of the email message to ILMACOUP dated Jan 17 with the subject Probate Index A -Typists Needed! Or just save your typing as text and send as an attachment should do it, too. John Sissom will convert WordPerfect for me. I am able to convert but have some dumb something set where all conversion goes in column A. Won't go there. Thank you to all the volunteers. Let's see. Macoupin has Civil War rosters, first birth index, honor roll of burials, 1830,40,50,60 censuses, state archives has the earliest marriages searchable database, we are doing the earliest probate index....... We could use an early death index and I see IRAD has a death index. That would round out a nice bunch of records to start with researching Macoupin. Would like to ask IRAD if we could get some copies of that death index but that one index they have 1877-1910 may be too big of a chunk of work - not going for burnout anymore. Gloria
