Who was this Robert Hays? My maternal grandmother was a Hays. Her ggrandfather William Hays, Sr came to Macoupin Co from Martin Co IN about 1830. While we don't have known kin Robert Hays born early 1800, son of Wm Hays Sr, there might have been. The below Robert Hays probably died by 1839. Having married in 1834, he may have had children altho Wm Srs will did not mention children of a Robert but mentioned grandchildren of other children so probably doubt this Robert had children if he might have been a son of Wm Sr. Dead by 1839, this Robert Hays may have been buried in the area in an unmarked grave or possibly in the lost Richards Cem in North Otter Twp. Enoch Richards died in Jan 1839. Wondering if this Robert Hays might have died in the same disease or accident as Enoch Richards. Enoch and Edmund below were brothers to my gggrandmother Agnes Richards Adcock. I know Enoch and sister Agnes are supposed to be buried in the lost Richards Cem which today is on Rees land in North Otter Twp. Anyone having old Robert Hays/Maria Bush info, would appreciate any help. I may not have all of any family below, just what I have come up with so far.
