I am searching for a William WATSON b. ca 1843, that was living around the Macoupin County area around 1850. I don't have much information on William other than he married my GGG-grandmother, Sarah Ann FRIEND in 1863 in Morgan County. It was stated that Sarah Ann "FRIEND" was an orphan, and had been living with a sister who had no objection to this marriage. William stated that he was not yet 21 and had not been living with his father for 8 years. He also stated that his father had, at the time of application, moved to Washington County, IL. This is all the information that I have on William WATSON. Sarah Ann "FRIEND" WATSON remarried in 1866 to Andrew Miller CLARK, son of Samuel and Nancy "MILLER" CLARK. Sarah had a child that was 2 months of age at the time she married Andrew Miller CLARK. The child was raised as a CLARK, but family lore tells us that he was possibly a WATSON. I am searching for information on William WATSON, hoping to prove or disprove this theory. If anyone has any information on these lines, I would love to communcate with you. Happy Hunting......
