Missi, Just so I can keep it straight I will respond next in the body of your email below with a different color. In a message dated 03/08/2007 9:44:54 A.M. I would tend to believe the 1870 mortality, info seems right on. Something interesting that I did find, maybe you already have this info I found Ashford Dial in Christian Co IL in 1880 listed as father of Thos J. Dial. Yes I have that and Thomas is indeed his son from his first marriage. Also in Christian Co there is a Mary Arnold 14 living with Wm. & Naomi Fleming ages 65 and 60 resp. sorry I don't know what this is the abbreviation for? Mary is listed as their niece. Is Naomi an Arnold? since I have just discovered that Hopson and Avery may be Susannah's parents I don't have any idea who her siblings are yet. If she was 60 in 1880 dob is 1820... Susanna 1822. It is possible that one of Susanna's relatives took over care of Mary, likely if not with Ashford. I looked up her Sharp and Dial siblings maybe they took her in, nothing concrete there. I too tried that and didn't find her. John W. Sharp and Susana were living with Wm Arnold in 1850 Macoupin. Wm is old enough to be her father but also to be her brother. I did have info on Wm and John Record Arnold have parents as Hopson and Avie (Nix) Arnold. One person a very long time ago told me that they thought Hugh Arnold and a ? Rieyle were Susannah's parents. I too found the William as a possible but am thinking he is most likely a brother. I probably havent helped much.... hopefully something. Since I am related to the Sharp's I wanted to make sure that my info was correct... so thank you. I have some data on the Sharp's as I was hoping to find Mary with them but haven't had any luck. Most of the data I have on the Sharp's has come from census records so you most likely have that. A Don Ruyle contacted me some time ago he is a related to the Sharp's have you seen his online tree?
