Subject: March Macoupin County Genealogical Society Meeting The Macoupin County Genealogical Society will hold their March meeting on Monday, March 19, 2007, at First United Baptist Church, 604 N. Franklin in Staunton. The meeting begins at 7 p.m. This month's speaker is William D. Wilson of Hill's Fort Society. Mr. Wilson, along with other collaborators, has put together a new book on early Illinois history titled, "Forts and Blockhouses of Early Illinois". The new softbound book covers many sources written a number of years ago, as well as modern-day Internet sites and personal collections. Our new membership year started June 1st. Dues are $15.00 for the current year and include the quarterly newsletter: Macoupin County Searcher.
