Maybe someone can help me: According to “Ellis Island ON-LINE” the family (Johann – born 1887 –, Auguste – born 1889 – and Frieda – born 1915 – Warschuetz) immigrated to USA in 1923 (Johann) and 1924 (Auguste and Frieda). Although in 1923/1924 a sister of Johann Warschütz (named Josephine Churovich) lived in Carlinville, IL, i did not found there (or somewhere else in USA) any notice of Warschütz or Warschuetz (or Warschitz). Only the “Macomb County, Michigan, Naturalization Index” contains – but without declaration of a year – on page 763 (of 807) the name “Johann Warschuetz” with the notice “SECOND PAPER V38, P904” – certainly not to look at online.

**************************************
AOL now offers free email to everyone. 1. Re: [ILMACOUP] Warschütz, Warschuetz, Warschitz
    2. Hallo Kathie, thanks for your two e-mails, the extensive searching and the http-sources. I am not an ancestry-member. As a “registered guest” I cannot grab all and see often only listed results without details. Perhaps I will become a member and then the adresses are in addition helpful. Yes, that is the correct family and your dates certify my records to Churovich/Warschütz. There are only two differences: Josephine was not born in RUSSIA (= Rußland) but in PRUSSIA (= Preußen) - sometimes documents are badly to read. My papers say moreover, she arrived USA (New York) with her three children on ship President Grant in (29.11.)1912 (not 1919) – you write yourself the last two children already are born in IL 1916 and 1917. Thanks also for 1888 born spouse MIKE Churovich. Formerly I found in the 1930census two MIKE (born 1888 and 1890) but could not discover which was the spouse. To the name “Warschütz” I have now information, that the spelling probably was changed into “Warshettes”. The 1930census shows John (= Johann), Augusta (= Auguste) and Freida (= Frieda) Warshettes in Wayne County, MI. The birthdates are nearly corresponding. I will follow this new trail.
