James Draper's father gave consent for the minor James Draper to marry, but his name was not given on the consent. There is an older James Draper living in the county. Elizabeth names her first born son Moses. There are several Davidson families in the county, one of whom is headed by Moses Davidson. Draper age 3/12 born Illinois. 1860 Iowa Federal census, populations schedule, Marion County, Pleasant Grove Township, page 74, dwelling 527, family 494, Elizabeth Draper household, includes Moses, age 14, born Illinois, Elisabeth J. Draper age 13, born Illinois, Mary A. Draper, age 12, born Illinois, James W. Draper, age 6, born Illinois, George W. age 4, born Iowa, Justin Arnett, age 26 farm land. Family moved from Illinois to Iowa between 1854 and 1856. According to a query posted February 10, 2001 by Martin Draper on the Macoupin County Illinois web site, James died young [about 1854-1856] and his widow moved the children with her mother to Iowa to be near her brother, Daniel Davidson. Elizabeth moved between 1854 and 1856.
