    1. Re: [ILMACOUP] Harr-Cole-Lemarr families
    2. Hi Regina, This is not my family, but I did spend some time looking for information for you. Both the Lemarr [Lemar, Lamar, Lamarr] family and the Harr family seem to have very rich histories. The Lemarr family traces back to what is believed to be a very well off, French family. One source suggests that the Lemarr family may have been promised land in the USA, if they would come to this country. Your Clinton E. Lemarr, b. 28 Aug 1892, d. Oct 1974, is shown on his Draft Card as being Tall, medium build, blue eyes and light hair color. He was one of 5 children born to Francis W. Lemarr and his wife, Lydia E. [Harr] Lemarr. Francis Marion Lemarr, b. abt 1829 in TN, to Isaac N[ewton] Lemarr and his wife, Sarah E., b. abt 1836 in IL. Francis had at least 5 sibs, Martha, Isaac N., Elsie L., Rachel M., and Emily A. This family seems to trace fairly easily back to the 1650's. Lydia E. Harr, b. June 1861 in TN to Adam Leonadas Harr and his wife, Melvina Horn, one of at least 11 children born to them. This family seems to trace back to European Royalty [Hapsburgs, Polish Kings, Luthania Princesses, etc. etc.]. I easily followed this family back to 970 AD [not the Harr name, but allied families]. If there is something specific that I can help you with, please let me know. Sharon Buethner On 20 Oct 2006 at 10:10, [email protected] wrote: > Does anyone have any information on the families of F.
