    3. Oh, hello again.  Didn't see this off list message before I sent my earlier one.  I know little about him except that he apparently was illegitimate son of  Nancy McPeak since her husband John had died ca. 1841 and he was b. ca. 1844.  This would make him half brother to my great grandfather Jesse McPeak who married Sarah Jarman in Macoupin in 1860.  Nancy married David Sexton ca 1847-1848, and that is why Claiborne's mother's name is shown as Nancy Sexton.  Nancy died 1889 and Claiborne is in her will, but the probate packet did not contain any indication that he claimed his inheritance.   Sometime in the past, I got the impression that he was institutionalized, but I can't find my notes on this and that is why I am interested in the DDD which has been in list messages the past few days.  Maureen. ----- Original Message ----- From: KathieMir@aol.com To: ilmacoup@rootsweb.com Sent: Friday, October 16, 2009 6:33:36 PM GMT -07:00 US/Canada Mountain Subject: Re: [ILMACOUP] 1880 Defective Schedule Maureen,   Off list, please send a little more info on Claiborne - when and where   born.  In 1880 what state and county do you think he was in?   I found a C. 1. Re: [ILMACOUP] Bertie WEISS
    2. Could Bertie be a nick name? Do you know where her parents are buried? Bertie may be buried there also. Have you located Henry and Catherine Weiss obituaries? Maybe Bertie was a GRANDCHILD of Henry and Catherine Weiss. Catherine was 54 years old in 1880. There is a 7 year age difference between Emma and Bertie. If you look at the 1860 census the children are about 2 years apart. On the ancestry.com index for 1870 census the family is indexed as Theiss instead of Weiss. I submitted a correction. Again the kids are about 2 years apart. Kathie Mirabella In a message dated 10/16/2009 2:13:53 A.M. I'm just hoping that somewhere along the line I can find mention of Bertie...death, birth, etc. I've found info on most of the other children, but Bertie has eluded me. I've only found her mentioned in this one census....and of course, both parents were dead by the 1900 census and she most likely would be married, if living. 3. I'm sorry I didn't answer you, Linda. I did appreciate you asking me, but one thing and another. I haven't been on the computer much the past few days. At first I was thinking I might be able to make it but then things kept piling up. We've been spending a lot of time with Trever and then one of my favorite cousins died, Robert Kunz. Now I seem to be coming down with a bad cold. I hope I don't get as bad as Pam. She's had it for a week or so and coughing her head off. I guess I'd just better stay home. I don't think anyone would want to be infected by me. Thanks anyway and you know I usually like to go to everything, so keep me in mind.
