Is anyone researching this surname? I was wondering if it was a variation of WYCKOFF/WICOFF. And, if so, what is the earliest that surname appears. I had an ancestor Mary (WICOFF) WESTROPE who died 1850 in Morgan co Illinois. At least one of her sons went to Scottsille Macoupin county - John WESTROPE died there 1891. Thanks Bob White Davidson NC

Hi, I have many things to be thankful for today and one is the INTERNET. It has enable me to make new friends, find new cousins and make new family connections. I am very thankful for the way we have been able to meet and tie our families together. It would have taken more than my lifetime without the INTERNET to make the progress I have make in the last year. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving. Happy Hunting, Kathleen Mirabella
