    3. I am researching in Macoupin County, IL is Perry P. BROWN and family. They were in Macoupin in the 1850 census. Around 1855/6 they moved to Union County, IA. Perry Married Christiana Jane Walker 9 August 1835 in Macoupin. Perry was born @1816, Christiana was born @1817/1818.     3. Hello, I'm researching primarily SCHAEFER and CALKUM in Macoupin County. My gr-grandmother, Catherine Schaefer, was orphaned as a small child and she and her younger sister, Anna Marie (Mary), and her younger brother, William, were raised by Schaefer uncles in Carlinville. Catherine married Hubert Calkum in Carlinville in 1890. Mary married (1) Joseph KAUFMANN in 1889 and (2) Albert KUERSCHEN in 1892. William married Margaret DARSCHEID in 1896. Other related surnames are WEAVER, FIREHAMMER, HILGER, SCHARTZ, and KLINGER.     3. My Macoupin ancestors were John Andreas MUELLER and Botilla (PETERSEN) MUELLER. Botilla changed her name to "Mathilde" after coming to America. They were there in the 1870's and early 80's. My grandmother and most of her siblings were born in Carlinville. Her name was Anna Henrietta Josephine MUELLER. Marianne/VA

    2. I am currently working on the descendants of Sylvanus Seaman. He lived in Carlinville most of his life. He was born in Fairfield, Herkimer Co, New York. (abt 1806) He haven't been able to get beyond that point. Sarah died after 1860 and James married Nancy Frances Walker-Cummings-Blunt 14 May 1868 in Macoupin County and migrated after 1871 for a time to Bates Co.
