I'm trying to remember when Mother and Dad moved to the farm. I think it was in 1954 or 1955. Our farm is two miles straight west of Boody, just west of the Bailey house on the main street out of Boody going west. My brother still lives there. In fact, I am in Illinois visiting and am driving grain trucks for him! A big difference from my five-speed Mustang convertible! Came home to take care of my mother who fell out of an apple tree (at age 75). Once a farm girl, always a farm girl, eh? It's such a small world! Where in Idaho are you now? We lived in Idaho Falls for three years back around 1980 of so. My husband was stationed there. We loved it there and hated to leave! I remember the Greens and the store with its pot belly stove and big meat counter. I sure hated to see the grade school vacant. I haven't had time to go by on this trip yet. It's so strange to see the elevator in ruin! Before I leave though, I'll take a drive down memory lane. Most of my relatives are buried in Hall Cemetery and Warnick Cemetery. I have spent a lot of time there throughout the years. It's killing me to drive the trucks repeatedly by the Brea and Long Point cemeteries and not stop. I told my brother if I turn up missing from an elevator run to look for me in the cemeteries! I've been sneaking away to the Blue Mound library while the elvator closes at noon. I love reading the old Blue Mound Leaders. They have a pretty good obit and marriage card file from the Leader. Glad to know you! Jane Meisenhelter Griffin
