    1. Re: [ILMACON] Boody connection
    2. Zion Cemetery is the name of the cemetery in Boody. You can see it as you are leaving town on Route 48, headed for Blue Mound and Taylorville. It's on the west line (or right-hand side as you head for Blue Mound.) Ralph and Velma are buried there. A lot of the Boody/Blue Mound farmers are buried in Hall Cemetery and Bethel Cemetery. There is also a Muirhead, Brown, Pope cemetery in Blue Mound Township (Boody). These cemeteries are in Volume 1 of the DGS Cemetery Inscription Book. The Warnicks are buried in their own cemetery, later named Huddleston Cemetery. I drove by it not too long ago and there is a new home built on it. I don't know if there is still access to this small cemetery any more, but it sure was a hard one to find out in the middle of a field the first time I went looking. Even sadder is that they don't have good records on its occupants. Someone walked off with the papers. I have two sibling children from my gggrandfather buried there, but no record proving it. My greataunt fortunately remembers the service, even though she was a very young girl. Jane Griffin
