    2. Jane... You must have lived in Boody after I left, your last name didn't sound familiar. I moved from there in 1952. I lived in the house that was between Katie Heerdt and Dot Schenck. Dot was my Aunt, my dad's sister. My dad was born in that house. You probably knew my cousins, Ron, Robert and Jan Morey. Frank and Nellie Green ran the post office when I lived there also. My dad's first cousin Helen Conrad and her husband P.E. ran the Nientker's store. I was related to most everyone in Boody at that time. I was back there last year and my cousin Jan and I walked Boody and had a great time remembering our childhood days in that sleepy little town. I also was able to visit with a friend who lived there when I did, Donna [Swarms]. She lives in Decatur now. Charlie Williams sister Ruth Ann married my cousin, Ron Morey. I was a Smith, my dad was Reid Smith, he worked at the elevator in Elwin. At one time when I was about 4 we lived across from the elevator in Elwin but when we were back! there last year I was going to take a picture of the house and all the houses on that side of the road were gone. I don't know what happened to them. I also visited with Dick Bowman when I was back there. I met him on the internet about 4 years ago so it was fun to finally meet him. He knew my cousin jan so she went with us to visit with him. I have a lot of information and pictures of Boody, also the Zion Cem and the Salem Cem. I took pictures of a lot of the tombstones. If I can help you with anything , let me know. Good to meet another Boody-ite.
