    1. [ILMACON] cemetery lookup for Jennie BARTLETT 1884-1891
    2. I would be very grateful if some kind soul could find for me a cemetery listing for Jennie BASTION SEASS BARTLETT, who I believe died near Macon between Feb 1884 and June 1891. No one has been able to find a death record for her for me, and a number of people have tried. What I know is that she was b. April 15, 1854, in Dubuque, married the first time to Aaron Seass in Sullivan, Moultrie Co. Nov 19, 1873 in Sullivan. They had a son, Herbert Howard Seass, in 1874. Aaron Seass much have died before 1880, because in the 1880 census, Jennie and Herbert are shown living with her parents, N.S. and Eunice Bastion, in Sullivan. Herbert died in Decatur in 1941 and I have his death certificate. Jennie married George BARTLETT December 13, 1883. I know nothing of him at all except for this marriage date. The only reason I have for suspecting Jennie died between these dates comes from her Father's family Bible. All the deaths but two are recorded in her father's clergyman's handwriting. His death, Feb 4, 1884, is recorded in what I assume is her mother's writing--she was housebound her last years with what we would call rheumatoid arthritis. This would account for the cramped writing. The last recorded death is Jennie's, in the same handwriting. It gives her full name, and says she died "in the country near Macon, and was buried there." No date is given. Jennie's mother died in June, 1891, according to her obituary, of which I have an original newspaper clipping. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Doris Waggoner Seattle
