There has been a couple of changes in this list. First, the commercial taglines at the bottom of the messages have been replaced with basic ones relating to the list [how to unsubscribe] and the Macon County ILGenWeb site. Second, replies to messages on the list will now automatically go to the list. The lists are about sharing information. It is very frustrating when a person sees a question of interest but does not see the reply. Further, all messages are archived and a future researcher gets the same frustration. Now the reply will go directly to the list unless you make it otherwise. Don't reply with something you don't want public unless you have carefully made sure it is not going to the list. Speaking of public, protect your privacy and that of others by never posting anyone's snail mail address or phone number. While only subscribers may post anyone can read the archives. Ignore the question must have been a glitch in the original message as it didn't do the same thing in the subsequent message.
