I was just back there for three months this past summer and drove by several closed schools, which made me so sad to see them boarded up. I wasn't paying good enough attention since I only attended kindergarten in Decatur (Pugh School) on Grand, I believe, but not positive, before joining my parents out near Boody. Decatur is slowly decaying and dying with homes and industry going out toward Mt. Zion. The north end of town is really growing. I'll try to check with my sister this weekend and see if she can fill us in on the latest. She lives on the north end of town, but all her family is still out toward Boody, so she's driving out that way quite frequently. Jane
