My Aunt & Uncle lived on the corner of Curtis & Illinois Streets (just down from the housing project) at the same time (they lived there for many years.) If you'd like to send me some further information I could ask around and maybe help you? I also had grandparents that lived on East Orchard (in Decatur) from about 1942-1965. She and her siblings remember a family by the name of the CORRINGTONs (Not sure if this is the correct spelling) and are wondering what became of them. They lived next door to them in the Government tenements on Longview around 1946-1949. Then the moved out to the 'country' on Orchard drive and the Corrington's followed a few years later but lived on another street. Have been unable to find any reference to this family, and think I might be misspelling their last name. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!!
