I was back there in Boody a year and a half ago, and it made me very sad as my cousin Jan Carpenter walked the entire little village and talked about each house and who lived there when we were kids. Some of the houses are gone, the little Boody church is gone, replaced by an newer one. The Neintker store is gone, we did get to go see it where they moved it to Stonington. The lady opened it for us and we were able to walk around it, boy did that bring back childhood memories, we have come a long way from those little country stores. The elevator is all rusted, it was a busy place when I was a child. The little post office that the Green's ran is boarded up. The Gables restaurant is someones house now, the Crawford's ran that. I am hoping to get back there again this year and dig around some more.
