Speaking of changes, this happened to me. I lived in Chicago and was down visiting. My friend told me to meet her for lunch at the library where she was working. I went to the library there on Main and Eldorado and waited on the steps. Boy was it dirty. I was stunned at the poor upkeep, dirt, papers, bird droppings, etc. I waited and waited. No one came or went. I decided to go in and ask. The door was locked. I found a pay phone and called. They finally figured out where I was and advised it had moved, gave me the new address. That was useless to me. Eventually they put my friend on the phone and she explained it in terms I could understand -- I think it was the old Sears store. I don't know if that's where the library still is or not. That was at least 30 years ago. The library building where I waited is long gone.
