By the way, I neglected to give you the name of my family... my mom's name is Pam and she was born in 1946, her parents, Paul and Madonna. There were 3 boys and 5 girls in her family. Thanks!! My Aunt & Uncle lived on the corner of Curtis & Illinois Streets (just down from the housing project) at the same time (they lived there for many years.) If you'd like to send me some further information I could ask around and maybe help you? I also had grandparents that lived on East Orchard (in Decatur) from about 1942-1965. Don't think that was considered out in the country. Where was your Orchard Drive located? She and her siblings remember a family by the name of the CORRINGTONs (Not sure if this is the correct spelling) and are wondering what became of them. They lived next door to them in the Government tenements on Longview around 1946-1949. Then the moved out to the 'country' on Orchard drive and the Corrington's followed a few years later but lived on another street. Have been unable to find any reference to this family, and think I might be misspelling their last name. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!! 3. RootsWeb has just finished making some significant changes to their server addresses. With some small exceptions (AOL being the big one), the changeover went well. Your ISP will now see mail from RootsWeb coming from a different address and you may need to change your spam filtering. If you are not receiving your list mail you need to contact your ISP and have them check their spam filtering for RootsWeb. They have attempted to contact most ISPs that have reported problems in the past but may have missed some. Of course, if your ISP is having a problem you won't get this message... It's a catch 22. If any of your friends mention they aren't getting list mail tell them about this. 1. Re: [ILMACON] records from 1900-1910
    2. From the limited information I have been able to find about her, she was born Sarah Cinderella Bennett abt 1863 in Montgomery County Indiana. Her parents were Caleb and Martha Miller Bennett, they are still livng in the 1870 Montgomery census, then in the 1880 census, the mother Martha is remarried to a John Sexton ( have not been able to find any information about him), and Sarah Cinderella is not listed with them, so think she was already married but have not been able to find her in any 1880 census. Then in the 1900 Decatur census she is living with her brother Albert Sexton on pg 19b. Since I have been unable to find her in a census with a husband or her marriage record I do not have her husbands name. I have found her in the 1920 living back in Montgomery County with a husband Frank Fletcher from Maine. I am just trying to find out what happened to her in Decatur, while she was living in that house her niece Minnie Bennett born 1891 gave birth to my grandmother, who was adopted out. and I have been unable to locate what happened to Minnie Bennett , the adoption record (1907) is the last record I have been able to find for her, so think locating what happened with her aunt will help me locate Minnie. I guess since I have been unable to find any inforamtion about John Sexton before he married Martha Bennett, the Sarah Ray in the 1900 census could be his child from a previous marriage, but his obit doesn't say anything about kids other than Martha's.
