I had signed up and then was gone for a few days. I am looking for information on the James Patrick McLaughlin family who settled in Macon Co Illionis. James married William Stith daughter, Georgianna Stith in 1886 I think it was. Georgianna was from Boody in Macon Co. What I am looking for is information on James McLaughlin who may have had an uncle by the name of M McDaniel who also lived in the area somewhere. Also looking for information on William Stith. His wife's name was Pheobe. (SP) It is great to find a list for Macon Co. I was there last summer and visited quite a few cementaries in the Blue Mound area. But I forgot to find out the name of the Catholic Church in the area since the McLaughlin's were Catholic. I am hopping to find records on the kids if I can. My husband's father when to Catekism (SP) in Blue Mound but I don't know what the name of the church was. Any help in this area would be greatly appreciated. I also need to find out the name of the Baptist church in Macon because after James Patrick McLaughlin (McGlaughlin) died the family when to the Baptist church because of a conflict with the Catholic Church according to stories handed down by family members. James has been hard to trace. Supposely he came from Montgomery Co in Pennsylvania but there are no birth records for that time between 1850-1900. Birth were not registarted I learned last week. Again thanks in advance for the help. Carla Carla L McLaughlin [email protected] Bozeman Montana Researching McLaughlin(McGlaughlin), Luhrsen(Luehrsen), Coffman, Street, Rosebrock, and Wilson.

    3. I am looking for information about the George MILLER family. George, is wife, Ann HUNSLEY, and their children immigrated from England about 1881. They settled in the Decatur area, where Ann's cousins, Henry, George, Ed and Charles HUNSLEY, settled. During this time the children attended a Decatur school on North Water Street, according to family tradition. Also, according to family tradition, the MILLER family in the spring of 1885 moved from a farm southwest of Argenta to a farm owned by Henry HUNSLEY 2 miles south and 1/2 mile west of Cisco. Does anyone know of these families? The George and Ann MILLER were my mother's grandparents. Lorna Rust

    3. Looking for information on or connections withon my Great Grandparents Gustav BAIER and Margaret GAULER. Gustav was born 15 May 1873 in Effingham, IL. Married Margaret Gauler 11 Sept. 1894 in Decatur, Macon Co., IL. Gustav can be found in the Decatur City Directory in 1896-97 and 99. Gustav was a coal miner and do to his deteriorating health the family left Illinois for Kansas around 1900. Margaret left Germany in 1893 to settle in the United States. She supposedly immigrated with a sister who I have not been able to find any information on. Her sister may have used the surname BROWN. Any help or information would be greatly appreciated.
