Of course one can put anything they want on their tombstone. I looked up Richmond Grove and your Linsons. I didn't realize I had that one before. Possibly the person who ordered the stone didn't know the birthdate. Possibly they didn't want to pay to inscribe all that. In any event, the listings contain everything on the stone that was readable and there is generally an explanation of things they couldn't read or guessed on.
