There were some BIG snows when I was a little girl. We have pictures where the snow is above my head as I pose beside it with my dog. It was not unusual for me to miss a week or two of school at a time because the bus could not get through. And, as you know, <g> I am not THAT old. However, this BIG snow was between Christmas and New Year's in 1830-31. They got about three feet. Yep. About 36"!!
