I saved your email because my husband has an ancestor who died in Lake Fork, Logan County in 1844. Do you know if both Lake Bank and Two Mile Grove are in Lake Fork, and if so were both of them around in 1844? I'm still looking for positive proof that John WILLIAMS died in 1844. Thanks for any light you can shed on this subject. I've never cared for using the government map names instead of the township names for locations either. I have counted 61 cemeteries in Logan County and I think that is all of them. The map shows some three isolated grave sites and two unnamed cemeteries. One of the 'unnamed' is known to me -- Mt. Pulaski. The other 'unnamed' may be known as Orendorff or Medcalf or Metcalk or some combination thereof. It is on the Orvil/Eminence Township line, not sure which side as I can' find it on a map. If you know anything about this cemetery please let me know. Where exactly are Union and Old Union Cemeteries in Lincoln? I don't believe I've been to a cemetery in Lincoln. I gather they are in West Lincoln Township but I don't see them on the old maps. I need verification of the location. The state genealogical society insists that Lake Bank and Two Mile Grove Cemeteries are in Mt. Pulaski Township. I disagree. I say Lake Fork. These I have been to. Anyone? If anyone wants to read the list I have to look for errors before I put it up let me know and I'll be glad to share it. At the moment it is a WordPerfect 6/7/8 document but I can convert it to HTML so everyone can read it.
