There was a German language newspaper printed in Lincoln. It was called Logan County Volksblatt. There was a second one called the Journal which was merged in to Volksblatt. [Information from the 1878 History.] Apparently both were formed in 1877 and merged by 1878 so the Journal was very short lived.
