According to the State Archives birth records after 1916 should be available from both the Illinois Department of Public Health, Division of Vital Records, and the Logan County Clerk. There are no Logan County birth or death records at IRAD. Any records prior to 1916 that exist are with the Logan County Clerk. For death records the information is the same except that copies of the death records 1916-1945 are also at the State Archives. Logan County marriage index 1857-1900 will eventually be available through the State Archives and online, no date set. In the meantime, you have to depend on the Logan County Clerk.
