Did your ancestors arrive in Logan County before 1839? Then perhaps you should look to SANGAMON County for information. On the Sangamon County web page -- you will find it and other counties from 'neighboring counties' link on the main web page -- there is a link for the Sangamon County Genealogical Society. In reviewing their listings I found several that seemed to be useful and I ordered them. They have arrived and I will be sharing information in a sort of mini review as my energy allows. All of these books contain information in the public domain: several of the books are copyrighted.
