    1. [ILLOGAN-L] Houston/Hueston
    2. Atlanta is not my strong point. Any number of folks here know more about the Atlanta area than I do, have researched there and so forth. It sounds like this family was only in Logan County very briefly. By 1870 they were in Kansas -- I assume that means you found them on the census. Have you checked the 1860 Logan census to see if they were in Logan County then? Can you link them to another family -- why did they stop in Logan County at all? Have you checked Rootweb to see if there are surname mailing lists for Hueston/Houston? You never know where you might find information. Also look for a GenConnect board. You can use the surname resource page there also. http://surhelp.rootsweb.com/srchall.html is a place where you can search all sorts of places for the surname of your choice. There is always World Family Tree, Family Tree Maker and similiar pages. Keep in mind that that information is only as good as the submitter. However, you might get some leads. Ditto the LDS site. While there run a check through their IGI files -- those are legitimate sources. I read the genealogy stuff online beginning in 1987 on CompuServe. I made a Clark connection about 1991 and then nothing until early 1998...at the same time I hit the mother lode offline on two different lines. Frankly, I had about given up on some of those lines. Now I have more information than I can get entered. You have to just hang in there... That reminds me, I should post a couple queries myself...
