I am forwarding this message for a new subscriber. Note the address for posting to the list is ILLOGAN-L@rootsweb.com Wm. W. Curtis b. 5/26/1837 married Eliza Ann Campbell b. 2/19/1843 in Logan County on 12/27/1859. (License 370, Vol. 1, page 185) I don't know what town. They had five children prior to leaving for KS in 1868. Their first child John W was born on 2/19/1861. I have looked at the 1860 Census Index for Logan County and found a Wm. Curtis; however, he was an 18 yr. old farm hand living with an Eli Thomas. If someone has the 1860 Census for Logan Co. and can give me a page number, I would appreciate it. The same would be true for the IL 1865 Census. I would like any information on Wm. & Eliza. Anything would be helpful. Bob Halsey rehfla@aol.com Viera, FL http://members.aol.com/rehfla/elihalsey/index.html I will add that Enock Curtis had five sons and one daughter. Two of the sons married Scroggins. The other three -- Charles, Louis and William -- moved to Kansas. The Green book says William was born in Ohio [presumably Pickaway County since that is where the family came from] and moved to Kansas. Enock came to Mt. Pulaski Township in 1853.
