>Does anyone know anything about a Feeble Minded Institute in Lincoln? It became known as Lincoln Developmental Center in 1975. Before that [beginning in 1910] it was known as Lincoln State School and Colony, shorted to Lincoln State School in 1962. When it opened in 1865 it was called Experimental School for Education of Idiots and Feeble Minded Children. Wonderful, right? In 1871 it became the Illinois Institution for the Education of Feeble Minded Children and in 1875 the Illinois Asylum for Feeble Minded Children. What do you want to know about it?
