Christian WINKERS is listed as an early settler of Mt. Pulaski Township/1837 in the source History of Logan County, Vol I, by Stringer, Chicago: Pioneer Publishing, 1911. Does anyone know anything at all about this family? I am looking for a name similar to "John WINKEN" who was said to have taken in my kin, John VOSHALL, as an apprentice ca 1805/Mason Co. KY. Can't find hide nor hair of either "WINKEN" or of my John VOSHALL between 1805 and ca 1827 when John VOSHALL shows in Sangamon county. I have no idea where he was between that period of time! Thanks!
