Source Code- Microfilm ordered from FHC, Searching the Port of N.Y. 1820-1846 (Indexed Years), FHC catalog number 0350267. I believe these cards were indexed during the depression years by the WPA workers for the National Archives. The card gives the name, age, (only given as 18) occupation, nationality, destination, port, vessel, and yr. of arrival. At the bottom right corner is the number (in my case) AB2747(?). What more do I want? Before I ever believed I would get to this point someone (?) said this source may give exact birth information, and relatives, which I need, to make sure this is my guy. Cheryl, there is no legend or list of source codes at the beginning. I will take your suggestion about the book, thank you. I have asked the FHC, 2 area libraries, a ships list site, (where this message really belongs), and have not gotten an answer. If I get private e-mail or mail from another site I will share with everyone. Thank you Earliene for the cemetery site, DeWitt will be another quest for another line for me. Thank you, Cheryl for all your work. A very generous man at the Logan County Gene. and Hist. Society, and the Logan County Clerk and Records office have been unbelievably helpful. Of course there are still gaps in Logan County I'm trying to fill in. Carolyn
