the Tuttle funeral home records show no one with the name Vaught handled by that undertaker; however, there is an isolated entry for a "Dr. Voit", November 24, 1897. This, even if it is your Peter Vaught, does not answer your question. There is no indication whether "Dr. Voit" was buried locally, or sent back to SC. Other Roach's mentioned in the book include Needam, 9/25/1867, aged 68; Charles or Midland City, Dec. 19, 1880; Wm., 2/2/1887; Mrs. Alsie, 10/24/1891; and, Thos. at Atlanta, July 14, 1905, aged 61 years. The first name mentioned, Needam, has the notation "Roach" in the column that seems to show where a person is buried, as researched by the Decatur Gen. Soc. as they prepared the Tuttle records for publication. Perhaps 10% of all the entries have some sort of entry in that column. Paul in Bflo
