    1. Re: [ILLOGAN] Logan Co. Cemeteries
    2. >Chestnut in Chestnut Township is also called what? The following are buried >there Morris, Hailton 11-28-1927; Baker, Samuel; Clark, Michael; Norton, >John; Walker, James, plus more. The cemetery is called Laenna. Michael Clark, Samuel Baker, Hamilton Morris, James Walker are there but I don't see John Norton. >Constant at Corrland? Criland is the last name of several. Should this be >the Cemetery at Cornland? >Cornland in Corland Twp? - There is one in Mt. Pulaski Twp >Capp, Thos. W. d 1-1890 There is no Corland Township. The only cemetery I can think of is Carlyle and I don't have that book. Turley would be in that area. Could also be in Sangamon County. Lots of CappS in Mt. Pulaski Township. Which cemetery? >Downing in Mt. Pulaski Township? > William Downing and Robert Johnston Downing Cemetery is in Chester Township. There is a Robert J. Johnston, killed Oct 12, 1864. Which William Downing? Are these Civil War veterans? Then it would be William Nelson Downing who died April 29, 1865, my gggrandfather. >Jerome Culp d 1/8/1926 buried in Illini. Illini is another one I am not familiar with. It sounds like it would be in Sangamon County. >Middletown Cemetery - Whiteman, H. N., JJ and Robert S. Barnes is the most likely cemetery in Middletown but there are no Whitemans. Evans is another possibility. >Mt. Hope in Bell?? Where is Bell? George Allen Bell is in Mt. Pulaski Township. It's very small and everyone there is a Bell. I don't know of a Mt. Hope. >Bebinger, Fredrick d 2/4/1921 is listed as New Holland. New Holland is in Sheridan Township. I wouldn't want to guess on that one. >Which Unions Station - Attebery, WM. Union Station is in Broadwell Township. Cheryl Rothwell clrothwell@mindspring.com
