Lawndale is in section 2, East Lincoln Township. The only thing called Lawndale in the current phone book is Lawndale Tap. I think of it as a wide spot in the road with an elevator rather than a town [there are several of those about, many of which no longer have the elevator either] but it does appear as a town in the old plat books. There is still a grain elevator. I do not see any churches or schools in the phone book. The old plat shows a school at Mulberry and Lincoln Streets and one church at Main and Jefferson. I do not see any cemeteries. I don't really see any cemeteries. North would be Eminence and Atlanta Townships, east would be Oran Township. Since Lawndale is in the northeast end of East Lincoln Township those others would be the likely places to look for a cemetery. If you have a name probably someone on the list would be able to check the cemetery books. I have several and I know some members have them all.
