Here's a resource you may not have known about -- the Illinois State Historical Library. http://www.state.il.us/hpa/lib If you go to the Genealogical Research page you will find they will search their records for you, one request at a time, mail requests only. Read the details on the web site. The service is free for Illinois residents, although a copy fee is required. Out of state residents are charged $10. [I hope you have relatives in Illinois.] They search county histories, cemetery inscriptions, indexes of marriage records and indexes of census records. The first two you can probably get someone on this list to search for you if you ask nicely. The last one became available to subscribers of Ancestry.com this week and I'm sure other services will have it soon. I haven't seen an index of marriage records. The CDs I have checked do not have Logan County. The library also researches non genealogical information. Some of their books may be borrowed by interlibrary loan.
