I just picked up a copy of this booklet -- the preface basically says that the compilers (Decatur Gen. Soc., Mrs. Kenneth Patterson) ... 1) alphabetized all the entries by surname 2) compared the entries to other sources and added such information that seemed to match 3) caution the user that the name given MAY be the name of the person buying the coffin, not the deceased... 4) that the dates given were the dates of burial (or coffin sale?) from 1861-1890, then the date of death from 1890-1910. I am interested in testing the data -- that is, if some of the subscribers to this list had names and dates with which they were confident, and these folks happened to be in the NE corner of Logan Co. where Tuttle conducted business, I could check your names against the listings. Perhaps, too, if you wished to have me look for one or two particular surnames, I could let you know what info is contained therein for those names, and you could judge for yourself what the information means by comparing your notes to what the book says.
