    3. I wonder if this Tomlinson is related to the guy who left the money to build the pool in Mt. Pulaski. I don't believe he was ever married. His name was Clarence and he had a brother Elmer. He was born in Mt. Pulaski but that family could be the reason the Tomlinsons came from Ohio. I assume you checked with county clerk for death certificates. There are old newspapers at the Lincoln library and other old newspapers available by interlibrary loan if you are up to searching for obits. The LCGHS has old plat maps which might help you locate the property and then you could see what is available on the property. Sometimes the property files contain useful information. Probate files might be helpful too. My plat map, 8 years old, seems to indicate the house on the curve is owned by a woman, not named Lawrence. There are probably more houses than you would think that were built in the 1840s and 1850s still standing and lived in. I am often in one in Mt. Pulaski. 3. I do not know if they are related. AS far as I can tell john Andrew Tomlinson married Joanna Johnston in Ross County Ohio and only had 1 son named Uriah. There daughter Martha married my Ggrandpas brother Samuel Theobald in Lincoln. I believe they may have lived and worked on the T.H. Price farm by New Holland with Sam's dad John. I have been to the Historical Society many times and the library looking through what they have. My Great aunt's cape is hanging on the wall. My 2nd cousin volunteers there and just proofed the school book. I have looked for death certificates but not probate records. I should try that. Thanks for the tips. You are correct about the current owner of the house on Lawrence curve. She lives out in the Northeast. I know that Charles had one son that died as a young baby. His daughters families have carried ownership through the years. I think she is having research done on the land and family too.
