Someone has to tell the tombstone people to go out and put the death date on the stone. In more than a few cases no one thought to do it or there was no one left locally. You can't assume he is buried there but he probably is. You might check with Manleys in Lincoln to see if they have any Carlyle records since they are from the area and do a great many of the local stones. The cemetery district is probably your best bet though.
