Hello. I am Carrol Mick. I am new to this forum. I am researching the surnames LINSCOTT, PAUL, RADER, ROEDER, THOMAS. I am particularly interested in the surname of Linscott in this region as I am looking for information on Phoebe Mabelle Linscott this is her married name and her children Mary, Amelia, William, Elmer and maybe a George. George could be the same person as Elmer. She passed away in 15 March 1930 in Lacon, IL. Not sure where she was born. It states in the 1910 census that she was born in Illinois and was 38 in 1910. Also looking for Benjamin Linscott could be Phoebe’s spouse. William Linscott was an inmate in 1920 and 1930 of the Illinois Institute for Idiots and Feeble Minded Children. I show him as 22 in 1930 and 13 in 1920. I think this is Phoebe’s son. I think Mary married George Chamblin in Wyoming, IL. I think Elmer was also called Bennie or Benjamin and was taken custody of the Illinois Children’s Home and Aide Society in 1910-1911 and then adopted out. Any information would be great.
