Hi, I have families coming out of Meigs and Columbiana and Stark Counties in Ohio to Illinois in the 1830's and 1840's. In the early 1850's they were coming out of Athens County, Ohio to Logan Co. Illinois. Good Luck, Lois

My great-grandfather, William Semple, came from Hamilton Co., Ohio prior to 1880, when he is listed on the federal census in Logan Co. Have had zero success in finding any kind of trace of him there, however. Would really appreciate hearing from anyone who has had success researching there. Some of his children were born there, and his first wife, Nancy Roxborough, died prior to 1880 - not sure if she died in Logan Co. or Hamilton Co., OH but have never found a death record for her in Logan so I assume she died in Ohio.
