The Sangamon County Genealogical Society proudly introduces our newest publication: Register of Sangamon County, Illinois Grand and Pettit Jurors 1849 to 1860. This publication includes the names of those who were chosen as potential jurors in cases involving both the Pettit and Grand Jury in Sangamon County, Illinois from the March term of court in 1849 through the October term of court in 1860. Many of these men knew or worked with Abraham Lincoln during his legal career. There are over 2,500 names listed in the book, which include many of Sangamon County's famous and not so famous early settlers.
