There is a bit more to it than that. Here in Texas, municipal libraries get their funding for the Heritage Quest subscription through a grant from the state legislature. Well, like all other states, we have a severe budget crunch, so the legislature has cut the Heritage Quest funding -- effective 1 July, I will no longer be able to access the Heritage Quest data bases through my local library website.     3. Guy, There was a recent article in the Dallas Morning News about that. Maybe you saw it. It seemed to indicate that some libraries were raising funds to pay for the continuation of Heritage Quest on TexShare. I don't know if Irving would do it. I believe I read that the Dallas Library was maybe through the Genealogical Society. I get mine through Grapevine. I will have to check to see what they are doing.
