I was going by the Logan county Genealogy society's 1880 Census of Logan county book, page 10...they have Candy in it. Sorry...It just shows how easy names get spelled different ways on different sources...I still hope the obit helps out a Sheridan reseacher. I have a Besty (Baker) Sheridan in my tree that lived in Chestnut area, so I was doing research on her when I found this.
