In the process I came across the MANN surname in early issues of The Lincoln Herald which is on microfilm at the Library. In the 11 May 1859 edition, Michael Mann and Sarah Mann were invovled in a case in the Circuit Court of Logan County. You can find the reference on page 2 column 7. In the 08 June 1859 edition, Michael and Sarah were involved in a Chancery Sale. You can find the reference on page 4 column 2. In the 15 June 1859 edition, H L Mann, John Mann, John Mann, Jr. were listed at least once in the tax lists. The references for these are page 1 column 1, page 1 column 4, page 4 column 1, and page 4 column 2. Look for more than one occurance of those names in those columns. Perhaps these will be clues to probate records that will answer your questions. --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free. Checked by AVG anti-virus system (http://www.grisoft.com).
