Hello all: This Monday, 11 October 2004 beginning at 7:00pm, the Sangamon County Genealogical Society will host its monthly meeting. The meeting is held at Springfield's Public Library, Lincoln Library, in the Carnigee Room South. This month's topic is a Show and Share Night. We invite all attending to bring an item relating to their family history which can be viewed by all and share a story about the item at the meeting. Items such as photos, newspaper clippings, family group sheets, family trees and other items relating to family history research are among the ideas of what to bring Monday night. The stories can be told to the entire group or we can break off into smaller groups. If there are any "brick walls" we can help participants climb over, through new or trusted researching methods, we will work to lead people over easier paths. Everyone is welcome to attend. Please do bring an item so we can all share in this experience. We hope to see several people at this meeting.
