Marilyn, We have the same story, a Grandfather, born October (7), 1879, then raised in Kinmundy, Marion County. The older of his children knew of the story, via their cousins from his adopted mother's family, but his birth mother's name was never mentioned. It's always seemed like we could 'find' something, but it has eluded us. In his father's Death Notice, he was referred to as 'survived by one adopted son . . . '. Isn't that the pitts!!! Grrrrr. I know all the g. uncles/aunt, but nothing about them - have been trying to see if any of them had kids that they might know, but nothing there either. The aunt did have kids but I located one of them but they wouldn't ans. Back when I wrote. Even tried to call. Oh well, such is life. Do you ever talk to 'them' and chew 'em out??
