Franklin was the son of Moses Patterson who was the son of William. Franklin's brother William married Elizabeth Morrow. Elizabeth Morrow is the daughter of James Morrow and Hannah Downing. Hannah is the daughter of John and Hannah Frakes Downing. James is the brother of Jane and Ruth, the three Morrows who married John Downing children.
